Evidence comes first
Family memories and online trees are invaluable clues, but we do not present them as archival proof. Unverified details are labelled and portraits are never invented.
01
Records
We prioritise census returns, parish registers, contemporary directories, wills and dated newspaper reports.
02
Family knowledge
Recollections about banking, clerical work and family residences remain visible as research leads.
