A family-held registration abstract records her birth on 19 February 1846 at 12 King William Street, daughter of William Henry Bartleman Hawes, surgeon, and Sophia Maria Davison Hawes, formerly Day. The birth was registered on 13 March 1846.
Marriage
The manuscript copies particulars of her marriage on 14 June to James Chaloner West, a leather dresser aged 41; Elizabeth is given as aged 24. The year is not clearly shown in the surviving portion and requires verification.
Death
The manuscript records the death of Elizabeth Louisa Georgina West on 24 May 1883 at age 37. The cause is written as phthisis pulmonalis, consistent with pulmonary tuberculosis. The place name and certificate are to be checked against the original record.
